The Christmas Tree

Exerpt from: The Story of Two Trees (POP Newsletter - Dec.2011)
That green tree we put up in our homes as we decorate the house with snowmen, elves and Santa Claus, has much more to do with Christ than we think. In the midst of winter where everything is dead, it remains green pointing us to everlasting life in Christ. We decorate it in lights to symbolize that Christ is the Light of the World. We often put a star or an angel on top of the tree remembering that first Christmas night. And even the gifts that we place under the tree, that we enjoy so much on Christmas morning, should be a reminder of God’s greatest gift to us: His only begotten Son. - Pastor Joe Dapelo
